    The NCSS Grant for the Enhancement of Geographic Literacy aims to support the teaching and learning of geography in schools. It seeks to improve students' geographic literacy across classroom, district, or statewide levels. Specifically, the grant backs initiatives that integrate geography into the social studies curriculum. Award recipients receive a $2,500 grant, a commemorative award, an opportunity to present their work at the NCSS Annual Conference or through a webinar/webcast, and up to $800 in travel reimbursement for those presenting their work at the conference.
