    Overview

    The grant aims to support a first-time attendee of an NCTM Annual Meeting and Exposition by offering financial assistance. The assistance covers annual meeting registration and up to $1500 for travel, subsistence expenses, and costs related to hiring a substitute teacher. The funding arrangement includes specific conditions like booking air travel through an NCTM-designated agent to allow direct payment for flights, with this cost being part of the $1500 maximum. NCTM also offers help with hotel arrangements, but hotel and other travel and subsistence expenses will be reimbursed post-meeting upon submission of a final report and a detailed list of expenses with receipts. Additionally, applicants are required to include a lesson they've taught, detailing its goals, objectives, and possible improvements for future instruction.
