The National Endowment for the Humanities serves and strengthens our nation by supporting high-quality projects and programs in the humanities and by making the humanities available to all Americans.
This program aims to fortify the humanities discipline within Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-Serving Institutions, and Tribal Colleges and Universities. It focuses on fostering and broadening research opportunities in the humanities for faculty and staff members at these institutions. The grants are awarded to individuals engaged in scholarly research that holds value for scholars, students, and the general public in the humanities field.
