    Overview

The Cultural and Community Resilience (CCR) program is designed to assist communities in addressing the impacts of climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic. It emphasizes safeguarding cultural resources and enhancing cultural resilience by supporting the identification, documentation, and/or collection of cultural heritage and community experiences. The program focuses on projects that either initiate community collecting initiatives or develop oral history programs, specifically tied to the effects of climate change or COVID-19 on communities. It invites proposals for projects at any stage of development, ranging from preliminary planning to full implementation. Supported activities include collaborative planning for identifying cultural and historical resources, documenting these resources digitally, recording oral histories, preserving traditional knowledge and practices, and establishing protocols for rapid response collecting.
