Overview
This grant program supports collaborative research and educational activities between the scientific and engineering staff of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and researchers funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). It allows for supplemental funding requests to existing NSF awards to cover travel expenses and per diem for NSF-supported Principal Investigators (PIs), co-PIs, post-doctoral scholars, undergraduate and graduate students, and other personnel engaging in work onsite at NIST as part of the NSF-NIST collaboration. The program is focused on facilitating cooperation in a range of basic and applied scientific and engineering fields.
