    Overview

The Plant Genome Research Program (PGRP) aims to support genome-scale research that tackles significant questions of biological, societal, and economic relevance. It puts an emphasis on the creation of innovative tools, technologies, and resources to enable extensive plant research, targeting scientific inquiries on a genome-wide scale. The grant focuses on ensuring that the data from plant genomics are usable, accessible, and integrated, making a high-impact across different areas of biology. It also values training, broadening participation, and career development in all funded projects. Two main funding tracks are offered: the RESEARCH-PGR TRACK, focusing on genome-scale plant research to explore fundamental biological processes and their economic/societal impacts, and the TRTech-PGR TRACK, aimed at advancing tools, resources, and technologies to enhance functional plant genomics.
