    The mission of the Nebraska Arts Council is to promote, cultivate, and sustain the arts for the people of Nebraska. The Council endeavors to build creative leadership in the arts, forge partnerships to expand arts opportunities, cultivate resources needed to sustain the arts, establish the arts as fundamental to education and lifelong learning, use the arts as a catalyst for understanding among cultures, and advocate for increased awareness and access to the arts.

    Overview

    The Arts Accessibility Grant for Event Services aims to provide reimbursement funds for services that enhance accessibility for persons with disabilities and those with limited English proficiency to arts and cultural events. This grant supports services for online events, livestreamed performances, virtual classes, and socially distanced outdoor events to facilitate broader participation. Funded by the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, the grant allows for a maximum award of $1,500 per fiscal year, with allocations of $300 per individual event or $1,500 for a series of five or more events. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and must be submitted at least four weeks prior to the event.
