    Overview

    The Child Care Start-Up and Expansion Grant aims to support the establishment of new child care programs and the expansion of existing ones to increase their licensed capacity. This program awards up to $5,000 for Child Care Homes and up to $10,000 for Child Care Centers. Eligibility criteria include being a new or existing child care facility making necessary modifications or purchasing equipment to meet licensing requirements or to serve additional children, including those with special needs. The grant focuses on facilitating minor building modifications, equipment purchases, and increasing services for infants, children with disabilities, ill children, and school-aged children. Recipients are required to maintain their business and a Child Care Subsidy Enrollment for three consecutive years after funding.
