    Overview

The NFAH provides two year-long, non-residential fellowships for mid-career scholars focusing on art of any era or culture. Key considerations for these fellowships include the intellectual merit of the proposed projects and the professional situations of applicants, especially concerning their home university's support capabilities. Fellowship grants can cover up to half of the recipient's annual salary, capped at $50,000, serving tenure-track assistant and associate professors who conduct innovative research.
