The Sustaining New Mexico Fund, created by the New Mexico Foundation staff and board of directors in 2022, is designed to support the sustainability of nonprofits across the state. This initiative focuses on grants to organizations that are in line with the Foundation's primary areas of interest, which include community resilience, educational opportunities, environmental adaptability, healthy communities, and rural infrastructure. The overarching goal of the grant is to bolster New Mexico communities by advancing social equity and promoting self-sufficiency, thereby improving the quality of life for all residents of the state.
