The grant program by LICF aims to enhance the effectiveness, responsiveness, and equity of healthcare services in marginalized and underserved communities. It supports projects that directly address health disparities and improve access to quality healthcare. In Nassau County, only hospitals can apply for this grant, while in Suffolk County, hospitals and other healthcare facilities are eligible. The overarching goal is to fund initiatives that present new solutions to longstanding problems within the healthcare sector, particularly those benefiting communities facing systemic inequities.
