The New York Health Foundation aims to improve the health of all New Yorkers, with a special focus on people of color and individuals who have been historically marginalized. Their grantmaking primarily targets three strategic areas: Primary Care, Healthy Food, Healthy Lives, and Veterans’ Health.
NYSHealth’s grant program supports organizations to attend and present at regional, statewide, and national conferences that align with its priorities: Building Healthy Communities, Empowering Health Care Consumers, and Veterans’ Health. The program is designed to fund community-based organizations, health departments, and other entities with limited resources, aiming to facilitate knowledge sharing, disseminate innovative health improvement strategies, and inform key stakeholders. Both organizations already working in these areas and those new to the fields in New York State are eligible for support. The grant highlights the importance of sharing smart, innovative work at various convenings to advance health-related initiatives in New York State.
