Nike takes action to create a better world by investing in more active, inclusive communities, starting with the cities where they live, work and operate.
The Nike Community Impact Fund (NCIF) focuses on supporting local organizations that align with Nike's goal of promoting play, sport, and physical activity among children. This initiative is distinct for being employee-led, with a particular emphasis on engaging communities where Nike employees live and work. Grants are awarded through a thoughtful process involving a volunteer committee of Nike staff from various departments, who leverage local knowledge to select deserving organizations. NCIF specifically provides $50,000 in grants annually to community stores in selected urban areas in the U.S., including East Los Angeles, Watts, South Chicago, Downtown Detroit, and New Orleans, to foster opportunities for kids to realize their potential through active play.
