    Overview

The WILDLIFE EDUCATION grant, provided by the ODNR Division of Wildlife, aims to support local schools, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and other education-oriented facilities in obtaining materials, equipment, and activities that promote wildlife education but are otherwise unaffordable. This grant supports projects or programs focused on Ohio's wildlife and their habitats, including habitat improvement and increasing awareness and knowledge about wildlife among students and visitors. Eligible projects might include planting native vegetation, installing habitat features like ponds or nesting boxes, developing environmental education programs, and purchasing educational materials or equipment. The grant emphasizes the development of wildlife-related projects and programs that integrate with school curricula or organizational programming, encouraging responsible action for the benefit of people, wildlife, and the environment. It also promotes collaboration between schools, youth organizations, community groups, and agencies to foster wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship.
