Ohio EPA establishes and enforces standards for air, water, waste management and cleanup of sites contaminated with hazardous substances. We also provide financial assistance to businesses and communities; environmental education programs for businesses and the public; and pollution prevention assistance to help businesses minimize their waste at the source.
The Ohio Environmental Science and Engineering Scholarships are merit-based, nonrenewable scholarships aimed at supporting undergraduate students who are entering their Junior or Senior year at an Ohio public or private college, university, or community college. These students must demonstrate a strong commitment and knowledge in environmental sciences or environmental engineering. The scholarships cover various educational expenses except housing and are awarded based on academic achievements, involvement in environmental science or engineering activities, leadership qualities, interpersonal skills, and the potential impact of the scholarship on the student's career in environmental fields. Funding amounts up to $5,000 for students in four-year and five-year programs, and up to $2,500 for students in two-year degree programs, are available.
