From Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry

To create conditions for Oklahoma agriculture to thrive while meeting regulatory requirements.

Type of Support

Overview

The Oklahoma Agriculture Enhancement and Diversification Program aims to stimulate growth within the state's agricultural sector through 0% interest loans or grants. Its focus is on expanding value-added processing and promoting farm diversification. These funds are designed for projects that fall under marketing and utilization, cooperative marketing, farm diversification, and basic and applied research, ensuring direct benefits to Oklahoma's farmers and ranchers. Additionally, the program offers Agriculture Event Grants aimed at developing or enhancing agricultural events that carry a broad state impact or cater to a large geographic region within Oklahoma. These events should demonstrate economic growth, increased public participation, and have an educational aspect. Grant applications are assessed individually based on their potential for success and rural economic development, with different grant levels based on projected economic impacts.
