    The Creche Childhood Education Fund, managed by the Omaha Community Foundation, aims to continue the legacy of the historic Creche Home for Children by supporting childhood educational services for underserved children in the Omaha metropolitan area. Founded in 1887 as Nebraska’s oldest nonprofit, the original Creche organization evolved over 127 years—from nursery and kindergarten to custodial care and childcare—always centering its mission on the well-being and education of children .
