The mission focuses on educating young individuals about the importance of giving and community service. By involving young people in philanthropy and community improvement projects, it aims to instill leadership skills, a sense of social responsibility, and the belief that youth participation can bring positive change to the world.
The Youth Giving Project is designed to educate and engage young people in philanthropy and community service. Through this program, students learn about the needs within their communities, participate in leadership committees, and are involved in the process of researching, visiting, and ultimately providing grant funding to local nonprofits focusing on youth programs and ideas. The project emphasizes the development of a variety of skills, including leadership, public speaking, critical thinking, fundraising, teamwork, and budgeting. Since its inception, the program has successfully distributed over $75,000 to local nonprofits.
