To lead Oregon in cultivating, growing and valuing culture as an integral part of communities.
The Community Cultural Participation (CCP) Grant Program is designed to financially assist nonprofit arts, heritage, and humanities organizations and their activities within Washington County. This grant supports projects that align with at least one of five primary goals: enhancing public awareness and participation in cultural activities; bolstering the capabilities and adaptability of cultural organizations; increasing public art and performance opportunities; supporting diverse cultural and heritage activities; and improving access to arts education. The program prioritizes projects that promote cultural diversity, community or cross-cultural partnerships, matching funds or cost-sharing, and cultural tourism. Eligible proposals can range from public-access events like festivals and workshops to the creation of promotional materials and the development of cultural learning programs. The CCP Grant Program offers three levels of funding: up to $1,000 for Level 1, up to $2,000 for Level 2, and up to $5,000 for Level 3, the latter being exclusively available to School Districts or School District Foundations. Each organization is permitted to receive one grant annually, with special provisions allowing individual schools within awarded districts to apply for separate funding.
