Park Pride's mission is to engage communities in the City of Atlanta, unincorporated DeKalb County, and the City of Brookhaven to make small-scale improvements to their local parks. Through grantmaking, advocacy, and community involvement, Park Pride seeks to enhance public spaces for all residents, fostering a sense of pride and ownership at the neighborhood level.
The Park Pride Small Change Grant Program focuses on supporting small-scale, community-driven improvements in local parks. With grants ranging from $250 to $2,500, this program encourages community investment through matching funds. Eligible applicants include Registered Friends of the Park groups located in the City of Atlanta, unincorporated DeKalb County, and the City of Brookhaven. Projects can be proposed year-round and cover a wide variety of small capital improvements such as beautification plantings, wayfinding signage, kiosks, murals, park benches, elevated garden beds, and wildlife habitats, among others. The aim is to facilitate enhancements that make meaningful differences in neighborhood parks.
