The Paso del Norte Health Foundation is dedicated to improving health outcomes in the Paso del Norte region. Through strategic initiatives and partnerships, it focuses on engaging communities and particularly disconnected youth and young adults, in activities that promote health, education, and overall well-being.
The grant program is aimed at providing or supporting diabetes prevention, early detection, and management initiatives. These initiatives can be related to type 1, type 2, or gestational diabetes and may operate across individual, population, and systems levels. The program has highlighted four key categories of interest: Diabetes Education and Awareness; Capacity and Systems Improvements; Diabetes Alliance; and Public Awareness. This grant seeks to impact the 2.4 million people living across a binational region, which includes parts of the United States and Mexico.
