To encourage the shared prosperity of all Pennsylvanians by supporting good stewardship and sustainable development initiatives across our commonwealth.
The Flood Mitigation Program, established under Act 13 of 2012, aims to support statewide initiatives for flood mitigation projects. The program facilitates funding through the Commonwealth Financing Authority for projects authorized by a flood protection authority, the Department of Environmental Protection, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, or the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service, or identified by local government. This grant is specifically targeted towards projects with a total cost of $50,000 or more, focusing on effective flood mitigation strategies and solutions.
