    Overview

The Keystone Communities (KC) program aims to encourage local revitalization efforts by providing assistance customized to meet specific community needs. It supports a wide range of initiatives including the improvement of neighborhood and community stability, promoting social and economic diversity, and enhancing overall quality of life. Communities can achieve designation as a Keystone Main Street, Keystone Elm Street, Keystone Enterprise Zone, or Keystone Community, making them eligible for targeted investment and development. This includes identifying investment needs, and designing and implementing strategies to meet these needs. The program offers a flexible tool for community and economic development, supporting various activities such as planning, façade grant programs, accessible housing programs, and development grants.
