Several leading funders have united to create a pooled fund focused on addressing maternal mental health inequities, particularly within BIPOC communities. Their collective mission involves supporting community-centered solutions and projects led by BIPOC individuals that aim to improve the mental health and well-being of BIPOC families.
The Maternal Mental Health Equity Fund aims to bridge gaps in solutions led by and centered in BIPOC communities within the maternal mental health space. The grant supports organizations and leaders across the U.S. that provide care models rooted in BIPOC communities. Key goals include supporting initiatives that are created within and by BIPOC communities, led by BIPOC leaders with a community focus, and demonstrate significant impact on addressing maternal mental health inequities. Grantees will join a 3-year Learning Community, receiving annual funding of $50,000 to $100,000, to foster peer learning, leadership, technical assistance, and sustainable funding solutions.
