It focuses on funding healthcare quality improvement initiatives specifically in regions of higher need. The grant aims to achieve several key objectives: First, to support the development of cardiac amyloid centers that can offer leadership, best practices, and training within a multidisciplinary approach to improve the quality of care for patients with cardiac amyloidosis, especially those in underserved populations. Second, to identify and address significant barriers creating geographic and racial healthcare disparities affecting the ATTR-CM patient population, with an emphasis on enhancing early detection and treatment. Lastly, to explore strategies that enable patients to actively engage in understanding their heart failure and TTR amyloidosis, facilitating informed decision-making regarding diagnosis and management options.
