The PhRMA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports biopharmaceutical innovation and value-driven health care. It aims to catalyze the careers of promising researchers by providing competitive, peer-reviewed grants and fellowships in drug delivery, drug discovery, translational medicine, and value assessment and health outcomes research. The PhRMA Foundation’s Postdoctoral Fellowship in Value Assessment-Health Outcomes Research supports U.S. and non-U.S. citizens conducting multidisciplinary, collaborative research training programs in the U.S. It focuses on extending credentials in value assessment and/or health outcomes research. The program aims to fund research proposals investigating the delivery, safe use, effectiveness, and value of medicines and health care interventions. Areas of interest include real-world outcomes, clinical outcomes assessments, patient-reported outcomes, value assessment frameworks, economic evaluations, health preference research, innovative decision-making tools, health equity, and reporting of value elements from various stakeholder perspectives. The fellowship provides $60,000 in stipend support per year for up to 24 months, with funding conditional upon the awardee's continued employment in the postdoctoral program and payment made directly to the university.
