The Pittsburgh Conference Memorial National College Grants (PCMNCG) Program, sponsored by Pittcon and its co-sponsoring technical societies, seeks to support small college science departments. This support is aimed at enhancing science education at the undergraduate level through the funding of scientific equipment, audio-visual or other teaching aids, and library materials. The program honors past members of the Pittsburgh Conference Committee and promotes excellence in science education by facilitating improvements in science curricula. With grants of up to $10,000, the program specifically targets colleges with enrollments under 5000 students, aiming to impact a significant number of students through the integration of new equipment and materials into their science programs. Strong grant proposals are well-developed, accurately filled, demonstrate how the equipment will be utilized broadly within the program, and often feature matching contributions from another source.
