    From Plastic Surgery Foundation

The mission of the PSF (Plastic Surgery Foundation) is to support research and development in the field of plastic surgery, with a focus on funding innovative projects that can quickly transition from discovery through FDA approval into clinical testing. This research aims at improving commercial development, benefiting patients, and addressing unmet clinical needs with the end goal of enhancing the field's overall body of knowledge and patient care capabilities.

    Type of Support

    Overview

The PSF Pilot Research Grant is designed to assist residents and junior faculty in their pursuit of specific research objectives. Its main goals are to help these early-career researchers secure preliminary data that could bolster more substantial grant applications in the future and to nurture a research pathway that can be sustained throughout an academic tenure. It primarily funds the initial or pilot phase of research projects. While the grant encourages senior investigators to explore other funding opportunities, it does not exclude them if they are exploring a new research idea or concept that has not previously received funding. The grant offers up to $10,000 for 1-year pilot projects.
