The William G. Pomeroy Foundation is committed to supporting the celebration and preservation of community history, and working to improve the probability of finding appropriate donor matches or other life-saving treatments for blood cancer patients. The Foundation’s first initiative was to diversify the bone marrow donor registry so that anyone, from any ethnic background, can find a matched donor.
The Pomeroy Foundation is interested in a wide range of initiatives that help communities across the country celebrate their history and cultural heritage. Requests for Special Interest Grants under $10,000 will be considered for the aforementioned purposes but also for technology and computer security upgrades, digitization of materials that stabilize collections and increase public access, and special projects for New York State history-related museums and historical societies with budgets under $500,000.
