The Trail Blazers Foundation invests in regional communities by supporting organizations that align with its mission. This specifically includes initiatives that engage youth in active lifestyles, acknowledging the beneficial impact of physical activity on young people’s academic performance and overall life.
The LIVE Greener grant, presented by Avangrid Renewables through the Trail Blazers Foundation Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation, focuses on supporting organizations throughout Oregon and SW Washington. These organizations should be connecting youth with the environment for purposes such as education, preservation, and employment. Specifically, the grant targets organizations that engage youth in ways that help protect the environment, reduce their impact on it, and/or learn job skills related to environmental conservation. Eligible organizations can apply for up to $25,000 of annual funding, with the possibility of receiving additional funding for a second year, reaching a total of up to $50,000 over two years.
