The Ramsey McCluskey Family Foundation, established by Meg Ramsey in 1999, is dedicated to supporting projects in arts education and general education. Its mission focuses on enhancing pre-school through high school education, with a particular interest in hands-on arts education and projects that engage and excite students about learning.
The Foundation offers three types of grants within a yearly grant cycle, with an overall grant-making budget of about $250,000. These include Single-Year Grants, Scholarship Fund Grants, and Trilogy Grants. The Single-Year Grants can amount to a maximum of $7500, designed for various projects with a preference for those promoting arts education and engaging learning experiences at the K-12 level. Scholarship Fund Grants are specifically aimed at arts education non-profits seeking to start or expand their scholarship funds, offering up to $2500 for single-year grants. Applicants for these grants should have mechanisms for identifying children or families needing financial assistance to participate in program activities. Recipients of Scholarship Fund Grants can secure funding for up to three consecutive years before a mandatory break. Lastly, Trilogy Grants are extended over three years, totaling $25,000, to provide sustained support to selected projects.
