The mission of the RAY Fellowship Program, managed by the Environmental Leadership Program (ELP), is to increase and facilitate career pathways in conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy for emerging leaders of color. It aims to create a future where the conservation and clean energy sectors fully represent, include, and are led by the diverse communities, perspectives, and experiences of the United States.
The RAY Fellowship Program is a comprehensive initiative designed to engage recent college graduates, especially those without prior professional experience or graduate degrees, in the fields of conservation and clean energy through a two-year paid fellowship. It offers first-time career access opportunities within 'Conservation Member Organizations' for RAY Conservation Fellows and 'Clean Energy Member Organizations' for RAY Clean Energy Fellows, aiming to launch their careers in these respective sectors. The program provides competitive entry-level salaries, benefits, a $1,000 professional development stipend, and access to a supportive network including mentors and RAY Partner Organizations. It targets individuals showing passion, commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, willingness to engage with the fellowship community, and the potential for transformational leadership in responding to social and environmental challenges.
