    Overview

The grant program primarily focuses on supporting research that characterizes misophonia, develops objective methods to assess the condition, or evaluates interventions for its treatment. The program is interested in proposals that showcase interdisciplinary collaboration, novelty, and creativity with the potential for significant impact in understanding, diagnosing, or treating misophonia. Projects may explore various aspects including the underlying biological and behavioral mechanisms of misophonia, its symptoms and trajectory, as well as the development and validation of objective assessment methods. Additionally, clinical and animal model studies that aim to develop or evaluate novel treatment approaches or conduct comparative efficacy trials of promising treatments are encouraged.
