The Rheumatology Research Foundation's mission is to advance research and training to improve the health of patients living with rheumatic disease. Through funding research, the Foundation aims to lead to a future with more options for patients to live longer, healthier lives. It also funds training and mentorship for medical students and fellows to expand the workforce of specially trained rheumatology professionals.
The Investigator Award aims to support junior investigators who are in the critical phase of transitioning from post-doctoral fellowship training to becoming competitive for significant funding and establishing themselves as independent investigators. This grant program encourages innovative research in the field by providing support to individuals who must be members of the funding organization at the time of application and for the duration of the award. Eligible applicants include those with a DO, MD, or MD/PhD degree who have completed a Rheumatology fellowship and are within a specific timeframe from the beginning of their fellowship. Additionally, this opportunity is open to ARHP members with a PhD, DSc, or equivalent doctoral degree within 6 years of obtaining their terminal degree.
