The Rheumatology Research Foundation's mission is to advance research and training to improve the health of patients living with rheumatic disease. Through funding research, the Foundation aims to lead to a future with more options for patients to live longer, healthier lives. It also funds training and mentorship for medical students and fellows to expand the workforce of specially trained rheumatology professionals.
The Career Development Bridge Funding Award: K Bridge aims to provide bridge funding for promising investigators who are currently revising their individual career development awards. This includes NIH K series awards, VA CDA-2 awards, or any equivalent career development awards. The goal of this grant is to support young faculty members, enabling them to have a higher chance of success in securing long-term career development awards.
