E4A Funding Opportunity: Indigenous-Led Solutions to Advance Health Equity and Wellbeing

The Evidence for Action (E4A) program, funded by RWJF, is dedicated to supporting research that is led by Indigenous communities. It focuses on identifying and promoting "upstream" solutions that advance health equity and well-being among Indigenous Peoples. These solutions encompass efforts to change systems, structures, laws, policies, norms, and practices that impact the distribution of resources and opportunities, ultimately influencing individual and community health choices and behaviors. The grant prioritizes research that:

• Is led by and prioritizes the needs and perspectives of Indigenous communities.
• Aims at health equity, self-determination, and identity affirmation for Indigenous Peoples.
• Reflects Indigenous worldviews and concepts of knowledge, health, and well-being.
• Is capable of informing specific actions or establishing beneficial practices.
• Ranges from the development of research capacity to sustained research efforts, aiming at long-term impact.
