Inspire Giving was established to cultivate and celebrate civic-minded leadership, volunteerism, and philanthropic giving in the Sacramento region. Its motto, “a little is enough, if enough people do it,” encapsulates its belief in the collective impact of individual contributions.
The grant program aims to bridge the gap for underserved youth in the Sacramento region who are interested in the performing arts but face financial barriers to accessing education and training. It specifically supports instrumental, vocal, theater, or dance art forms for children ages 8 to 17. The grant seeks to fund established youth training programs within arts, cultural, and nonprofit organizations dedicated to advancing the performing arts. Key goals include developing long-term partnerships between schools and local arts entities to identify those in financial need, enhancing students' artistic abilities and creativity through hands-on learning, and ensuring ongoing opportunities for low-income students to receive quality performing arts training. Organizations with a strong history of providing performing arts instruction to youth are encouraged to apply through an RFP process.
