The Chula Vista Community Foundation aims to enhance the quality of life in Chula Vista by addressing emerging needs. This is achieved by encouraging effective philanthropy, building an endowment for the community, annually funding organizations and causes, and providing a means for legacy planning and cash gifts. This effort is driven by a vision to cultivate a culture of giving that strengthens and enriches Chula Vista's community life across generations.
The Community Scholars Initiative (CSI) Grant Program by San Diego Foundation aims to support innovative and high-impact funding proposals that assist students from specific groups including those with disabilities, foster youth, students experiencing homelessness, and English language learners. The program focuses on increasing college access, persistence, and completion for these priority student populations. It offers a four-year conditional funding commitment, including annual programmatic funding, emergent needs funding, technical assistance, networking, capacity building support, and student scholarships.
