The Scaife Family Foundation Grant program is designed to support non-profit programs that align with its key focus areas: the health and welfare of women and children, addiction prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery, and animal welfare. The grant prioritizes programs and organizations that address these specific causes, with a particular interest in addiction services that eliminate barriers to treatment such as denial, shame, or fear, and programs that offer comprehensive services including job placement and career counseling. Further, the Foundation supports advancements in addiction research, education, and training to enhance the effectiveness of substance use and related issues counseling. In terms of animal welfare, the Foundation is interested in programs that demonstrate a positive interaction between humans and animals.
