    Overview

New Investigator Research Grants focus on empowering early-career researchers to significantly contribute to the child health field. This program offers up to three years of funding, supporting research across biomedical, clinical, health systems and services, and population and public health sectors. It is designed to enhance new investigators' abilities to secure grants from other funders by providing substantial early career support. The initiative specifically targets research with the potential to dramatically improve child health outcomes, distributing up to $300,000 over three years for research projects. These funds can cover a range of research-related expenses, including salaries, equipment, and knowledge dissemination. Funding is awarded to projects led by new investigators based in Canada, affiliated with Canadian institutions that are registered charities.
