Western Institute of Nursing (WIN) seeks to promote excellence in nursing and healthcare through research and education. Together, they facilitate the growth and development of the nursing profession and healthcare practices.

    Overview

    The Sigma Small Grants program, organized by the Sigma Foundation for Nursing, aims to support nurses in advancing the field through research. Specifically, it offers financial assistance of up to US $5,000 for high-quality research projects that promise to contribute meaningfully to the nursing profession. The selection criteria focus on the quality and potential impact of the proposed research, the future promise of the researcher, and the appropriateness of the research budget. Annually, between 10 to 15 grants are awarded under this program.
