    Overview

The Research Grant Awards program, sponsored by The Skin Cancer Foundation, seeks to support the dermatology community, particularly early career investigators, by funding projects focused on the prevention, detection, or treatment of skin cancer. Since its inception over four decades ago, the program has allocated more than $2 million towards research grants. These grants serve as crucial initial funding to help novel ideas take flight. Annually, the foundation offers two grants of $50,000 each and one grant of $25,000 to researchers proposing one-year projects in the United States. These projects should be conducted in or in collaboration with the dermatology departments of medical or academic institutions. The program emphasizes the importance of innovative research in yielding significant advances for both patients and physicians in the fight against skin cancer.
