The Young Forester Leadership Award focuses on recognizing outstanding leadership by young forestry professionals. It seeks to reward the development and promotion of individual programs or projects, or for a sustained leadership role that benefits the practice of forestry and the Society of American Foresters (SAF). The award includes a honorarium, complimentary convention registration, and travel expense coverage for attendance at the SAF national convention.
