The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) Foundation aims to enhance the well-being of employees and the performance of organizations through the science and application of Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
The Douglas W. Bray and Ann Howard Research Grant aims to support investigations into assessment center methods and the growth of managers and leaders. It encourages research that either focuses on innovative assessment techniques (like simulations) aimed at observing behavior, explores areas such as managerial career progression and leadership development, or combines both perspectives. Proposals for this grant are evaluated based on their scientific robustness, innovation, potential to advance the understanding of assessment center methods or leadership/managerial development (ideally both), the use of longitudinal study designs where suitable, and the presence of a detailed project plan including defined deliverables and budget.
