The Hebl Grant for Reducing Gender Inequities in the Workplace supports a graduate student undertaking a gender-related research project for a master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation. The research should aim to expand the theoretical and empirical understanding of gender-related issues, with a preference for projects focused on mitigating the inequities women encounter in or when trying to enter the workforce, whether in the U.S. or globally. Proposals are evaluated based on their theoretical and empirical foundation, focus on reducing gender inequities, applied significance, and methodological rigor.
