The SVS Foundation supports advancing vascular health through research, education, and advocacy. It is dedicated to fostering the growth of knowledge in the field of vascular disease and treatment, encouraging innovation, and developing the next generation of vascular health professionals by providing financial support and research opportunities.
The SVS Foundation Student Research Fellowship aims to stimulate laboratory and clinical vascular research by undergraduate and medical school students in the U.S. and Canada. It seeks to further students' education in scientific methods applied to clinical problems and biologic processes relevant to vascular disease, through hypothesis-driven projects. Supported projects may involve basic science, translational research with a vascular surgeon-scientist mentor, or clinical research under a mentor experienced in clinical research. Recipients receive a $3,000 award and a one-year complimentary subscription to the Journal of Vascular Surgery.
