The SVS Foundation supports advancing vascular health through research, education, and advocacy. It is dedicated to fostering the growth of knowledge in the field of vascular disease and treatment, encouraging innovation, and developing the next generation of vascular health professionals by providing financial support and research opportunities.
The Vascular Research Initiatives Conference Trainee Award is aimed at supporting trainees in presenting their research at the annual Vascular Research Initiatives Conference. The grant specifically targets top-scoring abstracts submitted by trainees to VRIC, focusing on peripheral vascular disease and its treatments. The aim is to nurture interaction among scientists from diverse disciplines, stimulate interest in vascular research among trainees aspiring to become academic vascular surgeons, and facilitate the exchange of ideas and collaborative project development. A unique aspect of the VRIC is its conducive atmosphere for both senior and junior investigators to interact equitably. Awardees receive a financial grant of US $1,000 to cover their expenses for attending the conference, following a selection process led by the SVS Basic and Translational Research Committee.
