SCAC: Term Arts Education Project Grants

Term Arts Education Project Grants aim to support quality arts education programs for preschool and K-12 students during the school term, including beyond the school day. These programs may be provided by traditional arts organizations as well as other organizations, such as social service, health, community, or education, that use the arts to meet educational, developmental, and social needs. The two-year grants fund activities that expand students' access to arts education, complement or augment standards-based arts instruction or arts integration aligned with school curriculum, and focus on quality instruction/experiences in various arts disciplines. The grants aim to align with South Carolina's 2017 College and Career Ready Standards for Visual and Performing Arts Proficiency and, for preschool programming, South Carolina’s Profile of the Ready Kindergartener. Eligible activities include workshops, artist residencies, performances, exhibitions, acquisition of equipment or supplies, program planning, and professional learning for educators and artists. The funding offers up to $30,000, with a matching requirement, and is highly competitive.
