Canine Transportation Van Grants ( previously Mobile Adoption Van Grants)

    From Stanton Foundation

The Stanton Foundation's mission is to strengthen the human/dog bond. This involves initiatives and grant programs designed to enhance the relationship between humans and dogs, potentially through supporting canine welfare, increasing adoptions, and promoting the wellbeing of dogs.

    Type of Support

    Overview

The grant program offered by The Stanton Foundation is focused on increasing canine live release rates and improving overall canine welfare. It provides funding for animal shelters and rescue/foster groups to purchase new transportation vans (specifically a Ford Transit or Ram ProMaster with certain specifications). These vehicles are intended for the safe, comfortable transport of dogs to partner organizations and adoption events. The foundation offers a one-time capital grant of approximately $70,000 to cover the cost of the van and its necessary customizations, including rear HVAC and a wrap with the grantee’s logo. The goal is to facilitate an increased number of dog adoptions, helping more dogs find their forever homes. Grantees are responsible for the vehicle's maintenance, repair, insurance, and other upkeep costs, with the expectation that any remaining grant funds after the purchase and customization of the van be reserved for emergency repairs or significant one-time modifications to the van.
