The grant program of the Story County Community Foundation (SCCF) aims to significantly improve or affect the lives of people living in Story County communities. It supports projects that address community needs in art/culture/humanities, education, health, human services, environment, or community/public/society benefit. It also aims to strengthen the nonprofit sector, promote philanthropy, encourage civic involvement, inclusivity, and diversity, support families and children, and catalyze collaborative efforts for community betterment, including seed money for new programs or projects. Additionally, Capacity Building Grants of up to $2,500 are offered to nonprofits or governmental organizations for projects that strengthen governance, strategic planning, sustainability, technology systems, and marketing, specifically aiming to grow funds held at SCCF.
